Il tuo problema si risolve nello stesso modo di come ho risolto la connessione con il cellulare ONDA N7100, usano lo stesso modem.

@ragamuffin: hai ragione scusa, mi sono sfuggiti dei dettagli importanti, d'ora in poi cercherò di dare quante più informazioni possibili. Dunque:
- e' un modem GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA USB
- posso collegarmi solo sull' AP ibox.tim.it perché uso solo la sim card TIM inclusa
- ad ogni boot devo scrivere da root modprobe usbserial vendor=0x05c6 product=0x6613 per farlo riconoscere al sistema (non ricordo come si fa a renderlo permanente)

@Myrdrwin: grazie per avermi segnalato la tua guida ma purtroppo non ha risolto il problema, forse perché tu usi Mandriva 2007.1 e io 2007.0 senza nessun aggiornamento.
ho scoperto che se collego il modem senza dare il comando modprobe il modulo viene definito "sconosciuto", mentre dopo "usbserial_generic".
Se avvio kppp nel prompt, prima del messaggio Timeout durante l'attesa per la creazione dell'interfaccia PPP appare:

Si, questo funziona (ma solo dopo che ho dato il comando modprobe, altrimenti non lo vede). Quando interrogo il modem mi appaiono dopo sette caselle di testo numerate (ATI 1; ATI 2 ecc...) con il testo :

Ma se si tratta di un modem GPRS ecc. sul CCM dovresti usare l'opzione 6 e impostare da li' la configurazione ed invece ti dice ....vedi sopra.
Secondo me e' li' il problema.
Ho la sensazione che, non sapendo quali file di configurazione editare (almeno questo vale per me), il passaggio dal CCM e' essenziale per fare funzionare il modem.

stavo seguendo la tua discussione in quanto oggi 20/11/07 ho installato Mandriva 2008 dvd edition sul mio notebook acer 1670, tutto è andato bene, come ho descritto nella discussione
che ho aperto sul forum;

Anche io ho un modem USB ONDA MH600HS, ossia l' M1HS,
ricevuto in comodato d'uso con il contratto business della "Tre"
Volevo chiederti se hai risolto il problema, la discussione sembra interrompersi senza esito.
sa hai risolto puoi fare un riepilogo?

Dubito che sia andata a buon fine, dando un occhiata al profilo di Ramon si vede che è dal 12/10 che non si collega più per cui presumo che si sia rotto ed abbia abbandonato Mandriva.
