The following scanner-Noname stk virtual device is available on your system."

Oppure prova Epson ->Stylus Dx4800.

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 174f:a311
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0b05:1712 ASUSTek Computer, Inc.
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05e3:1205 Genesys Logic, Inc. Afilias Optical Mouse H3003
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001

Big Grin

Prova a non inserire nulla ossia fagli fare l'autodetect. Se non funziona prova ad inserire "libusb:001:001".

Gia provato a riavviare ?

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0b05:1712 ASUSTek Computer, Inc.
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05e3:1205 Genesys Logic, Inc. Afilias Optical Mouse H3003

Proviamo innanzi tutto a vedere perchè. Dai da shell:
sane-find-scanner -v

merola@localhost ~]$ sane-find-scanner -v
This is sane-find-scanner from sane-backends 1.0.19

# sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the
# result is different from what you expected, first make sure your
# scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.

Dai questi comandi da root:
cd /etc/udev/rules.d/
find *libsane.rules | xargs sudo kate

Quote:

# The following rule will disable USB autosuspend for the device

Copia e incolla quanto segue:
# EPSON Stylus DX4400
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04b8", SYSFS{idProduct}=="083f", MODE="0664", RUN+="libusbscanner", ENV{libsane_matched}="yes"
