Ecco la mail che ho ricevuto poco fa da Mandriva:
Mandriva Linux 2006 uscirà all'inizio di ottobre. Questa versione
nuova di zecca sarà disponibile all'inizio solo per gli iscritti al
Club, sarà poi lanciata tramite lo Store, la vendita al dettaglio e
altri canali.
Pertanto dovremo attendere gli inizi di Ottobre data non molto distante dato che siamo al 29 di Settembre.

2006 è la versione finale di Mandriva Linux. È il risultato della
convergenza di tre tecnologie: Mandriva, Conectiva e Lycoris.
Mandriva Linux 2006 è anche più facile da utilizzare, più
user-friendly e più potente. È l'ideale per le esigenze di tutti i
clienti, dal principiante all'utente SOHO. Preparatevi a scaricarla!

The ISO for the final distribution Mandriva 2006 will be available for club
members from 10/04/2005 on the web site of the club. This final version will
be available in pre-order for clients from 10/11/2005 on the store.
